![]() Dr. Craig Niederberger
Professor of Urology and Engineering Dr. Niederberger received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He did his residency in surgery at Michael Reese Hospital, and his residency in urology at Michael Reese Hospital and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also did a fellowship in Andrology at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Texas. He is a Board Certified Urologist. Dr. Niederberger was President of the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction from 2004-2005. Also, he is President for 2005-2006 of the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology. Dr. Niederberger specializes in the field of male infertility and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Niederberger has been in the forefront of reproductive surgery and technology. He offers the latest medical and surgical procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of male fertility and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Niederberger also treats patients for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), common in men. Many men are able to take simple medications, and some require the traditional surgical procedure known as transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). In addition to the traditional procedure, Dr. Niederberger performs the minimslly invasive laser coagulation procedure for BPH.
