STAFF SCIENTISTS (2 Positions)
The Population Council invites applications for two Staff
Scientist positions at its Center for Biomedical Research
located on the campus of Rockefeller University in New York
City. These openings provide the opportunity to work in a
collaborative environment with basic and applied scientists
in the broad areas of reproductive physiology,
contraceptive development, and reproductive health. Newly
renovated laboratory space and resources are available for
these positions.
The Center is looking for investigators who show promise
for developing independently funded research programs in
areas that complement its existing research efforts. Areas
of interest include, but are not limited to: female or male
contraception, fertility and infertility; mechanisms of
action of steroid, gonadotropic, and paracrine hormones;
signal transduction and regulation of gene expression;
regulation of steroid synthesis and metabolism; and
prevention of STDs, including AIDS. Preference will be
given to candidates with demonstrated experience and a
continuing interest in a genomics-based approach to study
reproductive function.
Requires a Ph.D., M.D., or D.V.M. degree or equivalent,
with at least three years of relevant post-doctoral
experience. Send letter of interest, C.V., and
names/addresses of three references, to: Dr. James F.
