Mixing semen from donors related by marriage

Androlog Mail:

A woman, patient of a local physician, has requested insemination with a
mixed "wash" preparation from her husband and brother-in-law. I am
suggesting that the two samples be prepared and inseminated separately
either in the same or alternate cycles. I would like to hear from any one
who may have a suggestion. I contacted our institution's ethicist about
this and he wondered if there is any ethical issues which should be
considered about this request and to bring it up to the local physician for
counselling the patient. As you may imagine the sooner you reply the more
helpful it would be.

Thank you. (12/27/98)
