Androlog Mail:
My name is Nicola Davies and I am currently working as a research assistant
at the University of Alberta, writing IVF budget proposals and research
papers. However my contract runs out in December and I am therefore looking
for an Embryology, andrology, research assistant/technician or PhD position.
I have a BSc in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Sheffield
and an MSc in Toxicology from the University of Birmingham, UK. During my
BSc I gained a research scholarship from the Wellcome trust to study the
characteristics of sperm motility during co-culture with human oviductal
epithelium. This involved tissue culture and CASA. As part of my MSc I
spent 3 months working at Glaxo-Wellcome investigating the acrosome reaction
as a screen for spermatotoxic compounds. After graduating I spent a year
working as an embryologist at NURTURE, Nottingham, England. My duties
involved semen analysis, sperm preparation, oocyte collection, embryo
culture, IVF, embryo transfer, testicular biopsies, sperm and embryo
cryopreservation. I am a British citizen and am willing to relocate
anywhere and am available for work from January.
Resume available on request.
