Androlog Mail:
A Request for Applications (RFA) has just been published in the NIH Guide on
the topic of Mouse Sperm Cryopreservation. Thousands of genetically altered
mouse strains are anticipated to result from future research on the
structural and functional genomics of mice. The germ plasm of these strains
can be preserved in a cost-effective way in the form of mouse sperm.
Investigators interested in working collaboratively to develop an optimal
protocol for mouse sperm cryopreservation/freeze-drying combined with mouse
intracytoplasmic injection (ICSI) are invited to apply. Studies will
include long-term followups such as fertility, pathology and behavior.
