The Laboratory for Male Reproductive Research and Testing at Baylor College
of Medicine performs analysis for microdeletions of the AZF (azoospermia
factor) region of the Y chromosome. This clinical laboratory test can be
performed on blood samples mailed to the laboratory by overnight carrier.

The Laboratory for Male Reproductive Research and Testing also performs:
Optimized Sperm Penetration Assay (SPA), testing for immunologic infertility
(Immunobead Assay for Antisperm Antibodies, Semen White Blood Cell Test),
Hormone Assays Optimized for the Male (LH, FSH, Testosterone, Free
Testosterone, Prolactin, Estradiol, IGF-1), Hamster ICSI test (for
prediction of sperm function with ICSI), and Free PSA. Specimens for any of
these assays can be mailed to the Laboratory by overnight carrier.
