In regard to Dr. Hirshberg's question on 6-mercaptopurine, I have a patient
on it for Chrone's disease and while he has a low sperm count he was still
able to establish a pregnancy last month naturally. His gastroenterologist
reviewed the literature and found no contraindication to prescribing this
medication to men attempting conception.
