Androlog Mail:

The Center for Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery offers a two
year Fellowship. Our next available opening begins July 1, 1999. It
includes basic research in male reproduction, performed at our Population
Council laboratory at Rockefeller University and at our Cornell University
Medical College Laboratory, as well as, clinical reproductive surgery and
microsurgery performed at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. We
perform approximately 150 microsurgical vaso-vasostomies or
vaso-epididymostomies, 75 retrievals of epididymal and/or testicular sperm
with in-vitro fertilization and 300 microsurgical varicocelectomies per
year. Our Fellow performs a large part of this surgery. The Population
Council laboratories, located at Rockefeller University, are exclusively
devoted to the study of reproductive biology. Approximately 30 scientists,
50 technicians and post-doctoral fellows work in this laboratory
environment. The opportunity for collaboration is unmatched.

The deadline for receipt of Fellowship applications is June 15, 1998. All
interviews will be completed by July 15, 1998. A decision on applications
will be made by August 1, 1998. Applicants for this Fellowship should send
three letters of recommendation, including a letter from the Program
Chairman, and a curriculum vitae. Successful applicants will apply for
co-funding as an American Foundation for Urological Disease Scholar. The
application deadline for AFUD funding is September 1, 1998. Any specific
research ideas should be outlined in a letter.

Sincerely,
