Androlog Mail:
We've been using BSA in our research work for many years and it appears to
work fine in stopping sperm sticking to glass, promoting capacitation
maintaining motility and whatever else protein supplements are supposed to do
although we have never done any controlled experiments to test its
effectiveness relative to other protein sources. Many other research labs
also use BSA. However if you want to use it for clinical purposes you are in
a different situation, you have to be much more concerned with sterility,
including of course the remote risk of CJD, and immunological problems. I
think you should be very careful in this situation.
